How To Choose Casters

The use of industrial caster universal wheels is to reduce labor intensity and improve work efficiency. Choose the right caster for your use according to the application, conditions and requirements (convenience, effort, durability). Consider the following points:

1. Bearing weight:

(1) Calculation of bearing weight 1628057860189425

T = weight carried by each caster

E = the weight of the means of transport

Z = weight of moving object

M=The effective load-bearing quantity of the wheel (the factors of position and uneven weight distribution should be considered)

2. Flexibility:

(1) In order to make the caster flexible, durable and easy to move, its rotating parts (such as tripod rotation, wheel rolling) should be made of materials with low friction coefficient (such as ball bearings) or accessories treated by special processes (such as quenching). Xing assembly.

(2) The larger the eccentric distance of the tripod, the more flexible the steering is, but the bearing capacity is correspondingly reduced.

(3) The larger the diameter of the wheel, the more labor-saving it is to push, and the better to protect the ground. The larger wheel rotates slower than the smaller one, it is not easy to heat and deform, and it is more durable. Choose a wheel with a large diameter as far as the installation height allows.

3. Movement speed:

Requirement of caster speed: in normal temperature environment, on flat ground, no higher than walking speed 4KM/H, and there is a certain resting working state.

4. Use environment:

Ground materials, obstacles, residues or special environments (such as iron filings, high temperature, low temperature, high acidity, high alkaline oil and chemical solvents, and places requiring antistatic) should be considered when choosing. Casters made of special materials should be selected for use in special environments.

5. Installation precautions:

Flat top: The installation surface must be flat, hard, and not allowed to loosen.

Orientation: The two wheels must be in the same direction and be parallel.

Wire mouth: must be equipped with a spring washer to prevent loosening.
